Instructor for Recreation Sports Programs, Barrie

Elevate community sports engagement as a part-time Sports Instructor with Barrie's Recreation and Culture Services. Lead diverse sports programs while ensuring safety and fostering participant enjoyment.

This role focuses on delivering innovative recreation sports programs under the guidance of your supervisors at the Recreation and Culture Services. With at least two years of instructing experience, you'll create a positive and active environment. Your ability to connect with the community and uphold high standards will be critical in this position.

Key Responsibilities:• Organize and facilitate beginner and intermediate sports programs • Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants • Drive community interest in recreational activities • Support the maintenance of facilities for program delivery • Coordinate with external groups for effectivespace management

Requirements:• High Five Principles of Healthy Child Development Certification required • First Aid, CPR Level C, and AED certifications mandatory • A minimum of two years in instructing sports • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities • Availability for flexible working hours
