Position Description Lead and contribute to a wide range of Geotechnical Engineering projects while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams in a dynamic and growth-oriented environment. Apply advanced technical knowledge in the planning, design, and delivery of Geotechnical projects, geotechnical design, analysis, and monitoring. Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and quality oversight while supporting the development of junior staff and ensuring projects are executed efficiently, accurately, and in accordance with professional and regulatory standards.
Position Responsibilities
Lead geotechnical engineering design and analysis, including foundation design and slope stability analysis, geotechnical characterization and analysis, construction risk control and vibration / noise / settlement survey monitoring.
Interpret geotechnical site investigations, including borehole data and results of laboratory testing of soils and rocks.
Develop, review and verify geotechnical reports, including subsurface investigation reports, design briefs, and construction recommendations.
Lead coordination with clients, consultants, contractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure effective project delivery.
Provide mentorship and guidance to junior and intermediate staff, promoting technical growth and professional development.
Support project management tasks, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource planning.
Ensure compliance with applicable engineering standards, codes, and municipal requirements.
Contribute to proposal development and business development initiatives through client engagement and technical input.
Qualifications The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical expertise in Geotechnical Engineering, supported by a degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering from an accredited institution and registration as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.). The role requires 10+ years of relevant experience in geotechnical investigation, analysis, and design across a variety of infrastructure and development projects. Candidates should possess proficiency with Geotechnical design and analysis software along with a thorough understanding of applicable codes, standards, and construction practices as well as proven skills in project coordination, client communication, and team leadership.
This position is classified as full time. Rate of pay will be commensurate with related experience and qualifications ($125,840.00 per year +).
