Senior Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) (Barrie)

Job Overview We are one of the top practices in the country at IG Private Wealth Management, focused on delivering integrated financial planning to high-net-worth families and business owners for the past 30+ years. We’re seeking a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) who has extensive experience in corporate tax and advanced tax strategies to play a key role in deepening client relationships and expanding our advisory capabilities. This is not a traditional accounting role. You will operate as a strategic partner to a team of senior financial advisors, helping clients make better long-term decisions across corporate and personal tax planning. Responsibilities - Act as the in-house tax strategist supporting a team of senior financial advisors - Develop and implement advanced tax strategies for high-net-worth individuals and business owners - Provide planning guidance on: i) corporate structures and reorganizations, ii) owner-manager compensation (salary vs. dividends), iii) tax-efficient income planning and withdrawal strategies - Collaborate with both internal specialists at IG Wealth Management and external professionals (lawyers, accountants) while positioning the firm as the quarterback of the client’s financial life - Translate complex tax concepts into clear, actionable advice for clients and team - Support business development by enhancing the firm’s value proposition to attract and retain affluent clients Who You Are - CPA designation (required); preference given to CA’s - 8+ years of experience - Strong technical knowledge of specialized tax strategies for incorporated professionals and business owners - Comfortable in a client-facing advisory role, not just behind-the-scenes compliance - Strong communicator who can simplify complex planning concepts - Entrepreneurial mindset with interest in growing alongside a wealth advisory team - Experience working with or alongside financial advisors or family offices is a strong asset Why This Role Stands Out - Shift from compliance to high-value advisory: Focus on planning, not just filings - Work with an established base of high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients - Be part of a fully integrated financial planning model (investment, tax, estate, insurance) - Leverage the brand, infrastructure, and resources of a national platform at IG Wealth Management Ideal for Someone Who Wants To - Move out of a traditional firm into a more entrepreneurial, client-centric environment - Have a seat at the table in holistic financial decision-making - Build deeper, long-term relationships with business owners and affluent families - Play a visible role in growing a high-end wealth management practice Pay: $95,000.00-$110,000.00 per year Application question(s): - Are you a CPA (Chartered Qualified Accountant)? - Do you have extensive experience in corporate tax and advanced tax strategies?
