General Labourer (Barrie)

Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a General Labourer. This role involves assisting in various tasks to ensure efficient operations, maintaining quality control, and handling materials safely. Schedule is Monday to Thursday 4 pm to 2:30 am. ( 10 hour shift) Responsibilities: - Assist with loading, unloading, and moving plates in the yard. - Grind/Clean and inspect parts for defects. - Accurately label and stack cut profiles. - Ensure plates are clean before loading. - Operate and maintain equipment such as forklifts, overhead cranes, and hand tools. - Follow project instructions, engineering plans, and safety regulations. - Perform equipment maintenance, cleaning, and debris removal. - Complete assigned tasks efficiently and safely. - Employees may be required to perform other related duties as assigned. Requirements: - Strong communication skills. - Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. - Basic computer knowledge. - Safe handling of power hand tools. - Forklift and overhead crane experience an asset. Working Conditions: - Full-time position in a manufacturing or production environment. - Requires the ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks. - Involves exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures in the workshop. - Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, gloves, and ear protection is required. - May require occasional overtime based on production demands.
