$95,579– $106,262 (based on qualifications and experience)
Role Overview Under the direction of the Enterprise Architect, the Application Architect– ERP and Integration Platforms leads the architectural direction, solution design, and implementation oversight of enterprise solutions built on Salesforce and MuleSoft. The role collaborates with Product Owners, technical teams, and stakeholders to ensure scalable, secure, and aligned solutionsthat support Humber’s enterprise architecture standards.
Key Responsibilities
Lead architecture and solution design of Salesforce and MuleSoft implementations, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture principles.
Act as the primary architecture lead for Salesforce, guiding design decisions across platform capabilities, integrations, and data models.
Provide architectural direction and decision‑making on Salesforce, ERPs, and integration solutions in alignment with enterprise standards.
Define and enforce architectural patterns, standards, and best practices for Salesforce, ERPs, and integration solutions.
Lead the design and implementation of integration patterns using MuleSoft and APIs, establishing scalable and reusable frameworks.
Ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture direction and the broader application and technology landscape.
Provide oversight throughout implementation, ensuring quality, consistency, and adherence to design standards.
Identify, assess, and mitigate architectural and digital risks in the Salesforce platform and integration landscape.
Present architectural concepts, trade‑offs, and recommendations to senior leadership, translating complexity into clear business outcomes.
Support vendor evaluation and solution alignment to meet architectural and integration standards.
Drive continuous improvement by evaluating platform capabilities, emerging technologies, and integration approaches.
Ensure consistent implementation of architectural standards across product teams within the Salesforce and integration platform.
Incorporate data architecture considerations, including integrity, governance, and system flow, into all solution designs.
Support Product Owners by ensuring backlog items are technically sound, well‑defined, and aligned with architectural standards.
Qualifications About You You thrive on improving productivity and quality and enjoy working in a dynamic, collaborative environment.
Education Bachelor’s degree (required) or college diploma plus equivalent industry experience; Master’s considered an asset.
Experience&Skills
Minimum seven years of experience in enterprise application architecture, including design, integration, and implementation of complex systems.
Proven experience designing and implementing solutions on the Salesforce platform, with strong knowledge of platform architecture and best practices.
Experience with integration platforms such as MuleSoft, including API design and system integration strategies.
Experience working within complex, multi‑system environments (e.g., SIS, CRM, identity, data platforms).
Experience aligning solution architecture with enterprise architecture frameworks and governance models.
Experience presenting architectural recommendations to executive audiences and senior stakeholders.
Experience in post‑secondary education or broader public sector is an asset.
Deep expertise in Salesforce architecture, including capabilities, data models, security, and extensibility.
Strong understanding of integration architecture, including API design, event‑driven patterns, and e‑platforms like MuleSoft.
Ability to design scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions within complex enterprise environments.
Systems thinking, with ability to design across interconnected platforms.
Archival expertise in aligning solution architecture with enterprise standards and institutional strategy.
Strong understanding of digital and architectural risk, with ability to identify vulnerabilities, assess impact, and implement mitigation.
Effective risk communication to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
Excellent stakeholder engagement, influencing decisions across teams and executive audiences.
Ability to enforce architectural standards and governance across teams and products.
Strong communication and presentation skills, translating complex concepts into clear outcomes.
Experience collaborating with Product Owners, architects, and delivery teams to guide solution design and implementation.
