Job Posting Camp Cook Position Overview The Cook works closely with the Camp Directors and Assistant Cook to lead the Kitchen team in preparing all meals&snacks at camp, in compliance with federal, provincial, and local food safety legislation. They must ensure a clean and organized kitchen is maintained, including doing dishes, regular cleaning and sanitizing, and ensuring safe and organized food storage. They are also responsible for providing leadership for the Kitchen team.
Dates of Employment June 30, 2026– August 20, 2026
Typical Week Sunday noon to Friday noon, 40 hours per week. Up to an additional 4 hours required on some Fridays and Sundays. Saturdays off except for July 18.
Compensation $20 per hour. Higher rate paid commensurate with experience. On-site accommodation and meals provided if required.
Position Requirements
Kitchen experience is required.
Safe Food Handling Certification is required.
Vulnerable Sector Check is required.
Between 19 and 30 years of age.
Experience in and enjoy working with children. Previous camp experience is an asset.
Ability to work in and lead a team.
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
A positive and flexible attitude.
Standard First Aid and CPR-C certification is an asset.
