Retail Store Supervisor (Kosher), Toronto

Position Overview This position is designed for an experienced retail professional who will

support the Store Manager in daily operations and team leadership . The Assistant Store Manager plays a key role in maintaining store standards, ensuring kosher compliance, and helping drive overall performance, while working under the direction of the Store Manager.

Key Responsibilities

Assist the Store Manager in overseeing day to day store operations

Support team supervision, including training, scheduling, and ongoing guidance

Help ensure kosher compliance across all departments in line with certification standards (e.g., COR)

Assist in executing merchandising plans, product displays, and in-store promotions

Support inventory management, including stock control, rotation, and minimizing waste

Work with the Store Manager on supplier coordination, orders, and issue resolution

Help monitor pricing, labeling, and POS accuracy

Handle customer inquiries and concerns, escalating when needed

Support cash handling procedures, reconciliations, and basic reporting

Assist in executing seasonal and holiday programs (e.g. Passover, Rosh Hashanah, Purim)

Help ensure compliance with health, safety, and food handling regulations

Requirements

Minimum 5 years of experience in

kosher

retail or grocery (mandatory)

Prior experience in a supervisory or team lead role

Strong understanding of kosher products and compliance standards

Strong communication and organisational skills

Ability to work collaboratively under store leadership

Comfortable in a fast paced retail environment

Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends
