Imaging Technician License in good standing through the respected Provincial Licensing Body Vulnerable sector Check renewed within the year Professional Liability Insurance– mandatory Skills&Ability

High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and hospital software applications Ability to think critically and multitask in a high‑pressure situation Ability to organize and manage an office setting and work with all stakeholders Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a team member, establish and maintain cooperative and collaborative working relationships with members of the interdisciplinary team, and exercisejudgment by participating in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care according to standardsBehavior consistent with the hospital’s Standards of Performance Basic Responsibilities

Perform according to the Standards of Professional Practice set out by the respected Provincial Licensing Body and in compliance with the policies, procedures and standards of the facility Accept clinical responsibility and professional accountability for the care delivered to assigned patients Participate as a member of the interdisciplinary health care team, fulfilling responsibilities as a member of the medical disciplineComply with the Ethical Framework for Technicians Specific Duties

Operate devices such as X‑ray, CT and MRI machines to capture diagnostic images Ensure the equipment is properly calibrated for accurate imaging Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures, explain the process, and ensure patient comfort and safety Produce transparent, high‑quality images by positioning equipment and patients correctly and ensuring the optimal functioning of imaging toolsWork closely with radiologists and other healthcare professionals, discussing imaging needs and determining if additional images are required Maintain detailed records of procedures, patient histories and imaging results Clean, sterilize and report malfunctions of radiology equipment Carry out all work assignments safely and be knowledgeable of and in compliance with relevant regulations, policies and procedures in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and related legislationConditions of Employment
