Job Duties

Follow the prep list created by chefs to plan duties Label and stock all ingredients on shelves so they can be organized and easily accessible Prepare cooking ingredients by washing and chopping vegetables, cutting meat, etc. Undertake basic cooking duties such as reducing sauces, parboiling food, etc.Prepare simple dishes such as salads, entrees, etc. Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces) Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff and the executive sous chef Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashionComply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards Requirements

Previous experience as a line cook or in a similar role in a restaurant or culinary environment is preferred. Solid knowledge of cooking techniques, food preparation methods, and kitchen equipment operation. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, with attention to detail and quality.Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate with kitchen staff and maintain a positive work environment. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required. Legal eligibility to work in Ontario, Canada. Benefits
