Summary
Receiving and storage of food service items including but not limited to food, beverages, smallwares and equipment. Completing monthly/quarterly inventory, organizing and cleaning food service storage areas. Work alongside multiple units to ensure a smooth and effective daily workflow. Ensuring all invoices have been verified and received as stated and providing invoices to the financial controller in a timely manner to ensure prompt payment.Following all applicable SOPs and HSQA policies, as provided by Compass Group Canada. Regular attendance is a key performance indicator for this position; recurring weekend shifts may be required as operation needs grow. Deliver food from CIBC Square South to CIBC Square North (and vice versa). Maintain and verify food/van logs on a daily basis.Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Please note other duties may be assigned as required. All stations must be operated according to Standard Operating Procedures, with all items purchased from appropriate Managed Order Guides from Approved Suppliers. Coordinates the acceptance and review of all deliveries based on current service requirements.Shortages are immediately communicated to the reporting manager or their designate in anticipation of guest need. Ensures that any substitutions are communicated to the service team, both“back of house” and “front of house” alike. Ensures receiving SOPs are followed including required FIFO and FEFO procedures.Ensures receiving logs are completed as required, including recording temperatures as per HSQA policies and procedures. Ensures, if designated, the company van pre-check and post-workday check are completed and accurate. Any concerns to do with vehicle and/or food safety to be brought up with the Director of Logistics or their designate.Follows all HSQA, HACCP and WHMIS protocols at all times. Ensures the submission of required monthly safety audits and compliance inspections, at the request of the Director of Logistics. Ensures food received meets strict quality standards, including all temperature requirements for temperature-controlled items.Accepts orders and verifies all goods have been received in adequate condition, before signing the invoice, and ensures orders are put away promptly after being received. Coordinates any required equipment repairs and additional labor within given budget; ensures approval is obtained for all repairs prior to placing service call.Ensures that all expired, damaged or diverted products are addressed immediately, and a designate chef as well as the reporting manager are notified within 24 hours. Collects completed food delivery records and temperature logs, and keeps all paperwork organized in the office as per HSQA standard.Compiles and submits inventory monthly/quarterly to the reporting manager. Ensures the cleaning and organizing of the station, including fridges, freezers, serving carts, walk-in fridges/freezers and storage room are completed daily. Stores items appropriately according to food safety requirements and rotation protocols.Conduct temperature checks to ensure safe product. Verify and sign off on driver logs, including food safety, vehicle safety, van mileage logs and any other paperwork as assigned. Ensures that all necessary PPE is worn at all required times. Must complete assigned tasks in a timely manner and be able to work in a fast‑paced environment. Must work efficiently and effectively to ensure essential tasks are complete to prevent food spoilage. Pays attention to detail and addresses concerns quickly, including managing multi‑tasks simultaneously and ensures that all orders are accepted promptly once arrived.Interacts with managers, supervisors and other associates in a positive, respectful manner at all times. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; extreme cold and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate although construction and other external events may exceed regular noise levels. Language Skills
Ability to communicate effectively and fluently in the English language, including written and spoken language. Displays excellent communication skills including a polite, tactful manner. Other Qualifications

Secondary School Diploma and minimum 2 year’s experience in a relevant environment. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Current Basic Food Safety Training G2/G License w/ Clean Drivers Abstract WHMIS and HACCP training, updated annually Compensation
The hourly wage range for this position is $20 to $25. Final compensation will be determined based on relevant skills, experience, qualifications, and internal equity. Canadian work experience is not a requirement for this role.
