Description
This position is responsible for strategizing and negotiating to secure cost‑effective deals from suppliers. Procurement coordinators will coordinate and maintain daily tasks of the procurement process, including inventory management, subcontractor and supplier management. The work hours range from 40 to 50 hours per week (9am–5pm) depending on contracts and timelines.Overtime, weekends, and evenings may be required.Responsibilities
Maintain and follow procurement processes, budgets, and timelines. Build and maintain relationships with suppliers. Follow purchasing procedures and guidelines to keep orders within budgets and timelines. Maintain product quality while reducing procurement costs. Properly document the procurement process and organize related documents.Gather, organize, and analyze data related to the procurement process; communicate findings to the procurement manager. Anticipate and mitigate risks within the procurement process. Issue and ensure completion of orientation packages. Ensure worker health and safety awareness in four steps. Address workplace violence and harassment for employees.Ensure accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) compliance. Ensure Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) compliance. Qualifications
Post‑secondary certificate, degree, or diploma in a related field. Benefits
