Description
The Manager, Finance and Accounting leads a team of 3–5 analysts in overseeing financial results and providing strategic analysis across multiple portfolios and business units. Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Financial Reporting and Oversight

Oversee financial reporting across a multi‑asset, multi‑entity portfolio, including review of monthly results at both the asset and sector level. Ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with Oxford’s standards and expectations. Direct the team’s completion of month‑end activities, including review of third‑party reporting, key performance indicators, and variance analysis against budgets.Ensure accurate consolidation and timely submissions to Corporate and senior stakeholders. Oversee the preparation and review of financial statements, ensuring consistent application of accounting standards (local GAAP or IFRS). Review calculation of tenant’s CAM/Tax recoveries. Proactively identify risks and drive adherence to Oxford’s processes, controls, and governance standards.Coordinate interim and year‑end audits for multiple entities, ensuring timely resolution of audit findings and proactive management of issues. Maintain a strong control environment to minimize risk. Planning, Forecasting and Analysis

Lead the coordination, review, and analysis of annual operating plans and quarterly reforecasts with asset and property managers. Provide insights into variances and key drivers to support strategic decision‑making. Oversee and provide input into portfolio‑level cash forecasting and distribution cycles, ensuring alignment with business priorities and liquidity requirements.Identify trends, risks, and opportunities within portfolios and recommend solutions. Portfolio and Transaction Support

Support the execution of portfolio strategies, including contributions to investment transactions (acquisitions, dispositions, developments). Partner with investments, operations, and corporate reporting teams to align financial analysis with business priorities. Oversee the onboarding of new asset acquisitions and third‑party service providers, ensuring seamless integration of accounting processes, controls, and reporting requirements.Special Projects and Process Innovations and Controls

Participate in special projects with a focus on continuous improvement, process automation to improve efficiencies in day‑to‑day responsibilities and people and culture initiatives. Ensure compliance with Oxford’s processes and controls. Leadership and People Management

Lead and manage a team of 3–5 finance professionals, including coaching, performance management, and professional development. Oversee delegation and prioritization of the team’s workload to ensure timely and accurate delivery of results. Act as a primary point of contact for third‑party managers, including managing deadlines, regular communications, and escalation of issues where needed.Provide oversight and review of information received to support decision‑making. Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and timeliness in reporting and forecasting. Qualifications

University degree, preferably in Commerce, Business or Accounting and Professional Accounting Designation (CPA) completed. Minimum 6–7 years of experience in a related capacity with experience in a complex environment and a proven record of strong performance. Real Estate industry experience. IFRS and US GAAP experience.Skills

Core Technical and Analytical Skills

Strong knowledge of GAAP/IFRS, complex consolidations, portfolio‑level forecasting, cash flow management, and variance analysis. Advanced analytical skills to interpret financial results, identify risks/opportunities, and provide recommendations. Strong understanding of technical accounting for complex transactions (e.g., acquisitions, dispositions, intercompany).Leadership and People Management

Lead a team of 3–5 finance professionals, including coaching, performance management, and developing future talent. Demonstrated initiative in mentoring and supporting team members while balancing execution responsibilities. Stakeholder Management and Communication

Strong interpersonal and communication skills to communicate financial insights clearly to senior stakeholders; collaborate effectively with Investments, Asset Management, and Corporate teams. Act as a key point of contact for external third‑party managers, auditors, and service providers, balancing expectations and deadlines.Confidence in presenting analysis and recommendations to management. Organization and Execution

Excellent time management to balance personal deliverables with oversight of direct reports. Ability to manage competing priorities across multiple portfolios. Process Improvement and Problem‑Solving

Aptitude for identifying process gaps and driving efficiency improvements in reporting, forecasting, and controls. Strong judgment in applying policies and adapting to evolving business needs. Computer Skills

Experience with GSS, HFM and JDE. Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel. Proficient with PowerPoint capabilities, including how to create presentations with text, images and basic design principles.
