Academic Outpatient Psychiatrist– Women’s Mood and Anxiety Clinic: Reproductive Transitions (Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre)
The Department of Psychiatry, Faculty of Medicine at the University of Toronto and the Department of Psychiatry at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre are seeking an Academic Outpatient Psychiatrist with expertise in reproductive psychiatry. The successful candidate will hold a full‑time clinical academic appointment at the rank of Lecturer, Assistant, Associate or Full Professor at the University of Toronto and will participate fully in the clinical and academic activities of the department, including the psychiatry call system and teaching program.The Women’s Mood and Anxiety Clinic: ReproductiveTransitions specialises in mood and anxiety disorders experienced by women across the lifecycle, particularly during pregnancy, postpartum and perimenopause. Assessment and treatment are delivered with expertise in psychotropic medication and psychotherapy,and clinical services, research and teaching are all priorities of the clinic.In this role the candidate will provide outpatient psychiatric services, support or lead research, participate in multidisciplinary collaboration, and contribute to the academic mission of the department. The clinic is a key partner with the Sunnybrook’s DAN Women&Babies Program and works in a 47‑bed schedule‑one facility. The successful applicant must hold an MD degree, be RoyalCollege/Board Certified or Eligible in Psychiatry, be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario, and have past experience or training in reproductive psychiatry. A strong record of teaching is required, given the frequent presence of learners on the team.Responsibilities
Provide outpatient psychiatry services for women across the life cycle (pregnancy, postpartum, perimenopause). Support or lead research projects and initiatives in reproductive psychiatry. Participate in the department’s psychiatry call system and clinical workflow. Deliver teaching and supervision to students, residents and other learners.Collaborate with the Garry Hurvitz Brain Sciences Program and related interdisciplinary teams. Contribute to academic activities, including curriculum development and scholarly dissemination. Qualifications
MD degree. Royal College/Board Certified or Eligible in Psychiatry. Eligibility for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario. Experience or training in reproductive psychiatry. Track record of excellence in teaching. Compensation&Benefits
