Description
The Senior Manager, Procurement will provide procurement support for the RBC Technology&Operations (T&O) platform while influencing sourcing decisions, driving supplier consolidation, cost savings and cost avoidance efforts. This role will partner with senior management to proactively develop negotiation and contract strategies for high‑risk, complex and sensitive sourcing initiatives. Responsibilities

Negotiate complex supplier contracts, support business groups in managing supplier contracts and relationships, and draft and amend contracts as necessary. Create plans to identify or recommend alternative suppliers against the sourcing execution plan, maximizing service levels and procurement activities to align with long‑term business strategies.Develop and implement global efficiencies, standardized tools, practices and procedures, including RFP, new supplier and decision‑making evaluations. Build effective and strong relationships with key partners and stakeholders (including executive level) by understanding key needs and dynamics across stakeholder groups, decision makers and influencers.Secure stakeholder support for complex decisions such as high‑risk or contentious requirements. Identify, research and prioritize potential sourcing opportunities through internal spend analysis, business unit knowledge, potential savings and/or business need. Provide mentoring and coaching to develop skills and abilities of team members to optimize future job performance.Analyze complex procurement challenges and assist in developing solutions to best meet business needs. Must‑have Qualifications

7+ years of experience in global procurement, sourcing and leading and supporting stakeholder interactions. Core expertise in IT sourcing categories including software, professional services, enterprise applications, IT hardware, telecom, cloud computing, etc. Proven track record of leading deals and negotiating agreements with mega‑vendors.Understanding of procurement law and/or regulations. Deeper understanding of commercial and legal contractual terms negotiated in technology contracts. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Nice‑to‑have Qualifications
