A globally recognized leader in freight forwarding and supply chain solutions is seeking an experienced Deputy Financial Manager to join its growing team in North York, Toronto. In this role, you will oversee the financial strategic planning of the company by evaluating its performance and potential risks. You will develop budgets that meet the strategic goals of the company and prepare detailed reports on financial performance. You will supervise the finance team in day-to-day operations, including tracking key financial metrics, and ensure compliance with statutory law and financial regulations. Responsibilities include developing secure procedures to maintain confidential information, enhancing and implementing financial and accounting systems, processes, tools, and control systems. You will work with other team members to understand revenue and cost drivers and define appropriate reports for tracking, coordinate with external financial entities including accountants, government auditors, and financial consultants, and manage and monitor metrics, KPI tracking, and reports for finance department performance.Deputy Financial Manager requirements
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics; Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA or CMA) is preferred. Proven experience as a financial manager in the logistics area with at least5 years in a managerial role Strong understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles.Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations; excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficient user of finance software, with a strong understanding of ERP software and advanced Excel skills; ability to manage, guide, and lead employees to ensure appropriate financial processes are being used;Mandarin proficiency is an asset.Deputy Financial Manager benefits
