Description
Humber River Health seeks a compassionate Registered Practical Nurse for our Mother and Baby Unit. This part-time role requires dedication to quality care during various shifts.
In this position, you will be responsible for delivering professional nursing care to mothers and newborns. You must have recent postpartum experience and be able to provide comprehensive health teaching. Utilizing your interpersonal and problem-solving skills will be key to supporting families effectively.
Key Responsibilities:• Conduct thorough nursing assessments and care planning • Provide compassionate, patient-centered care • Implement effective communication in critical situations • Teach families health maintenance during discharge • Ensure a culturally competent approach in care delivery
Requirements:• Graduate from a two-year RPN program • Two years of postpartum experience in a Canadian hospital • Hold current BCLS, NRP certification, and breastfeeding course completion • Ability to perform medication administration and vital assessments • Strong understanding of diverse patientneeds
