GFT Environmental Scientist Hybrid Role, Toronto

Join GFT as an Environmental Scientist in Toronto, Ontario, offering a hybrid work model. This role focuses on site assessments and compliance, imperative for critical infrastructure projects across Canada.

In this position, you will supervise and manage environmental site assessments and due diligence studies. You'll conduct essential work such as Phase 1 and Phase 2 ESAs, while ensuring adherence to Ontario’s environmental regulations. Collaboration with team members and engagement with clients are essential components of your role in our Environmental Team.

Key Responsibilities:• Manage environmental due diligence for infrastructure projects • Conduct Phase 1/2 Environmental Site Assessments per CSA standards • Oversee field work for environmental contamination studies • Prepare reports for environmental contamination assessments • Coordinate with regulatoryagencies and clients

Requirements:• Bachelor’s Degree in environmental science or engineering • Minimum 6 years of experience in Ontario • Expertise in Ontario Regulations 153/04 and 406/19 • Strong communication and data evaluation skills • Willingness to travel to project sites
