Munk Sch Global Affairs&Public Policy Campus: St. George (Downtown Toronto) Description: Course number and title: GLA2029H The Sustainability Imperative: Implications for Global Affairs and Public Policy The course examines the urgent imperative for sustainability as a central driver of change in global affairs and public policy. With escalating climate, biodiversity, and inequality crises, the course explores how this imperative is reshaping international cooperation, global governance, trade, corporate strategy, urban development, and development finance. Students will develop applied policy and business skills through real-world assignments, including a final grant proposal to a multilateral environmental fund [the Global Environment Facility (GEF)].*The delivery method for this course is currently in-person. Please note that, in keeping with current circumstances, the course delivery method may change as determined by the Faculty or the Department. Sessional dates of appointment : September 1, 2026-December 31, 2026 All inclusive of vacation pay. Please note that should rates stipulated in the collective agreement vary from rates stated in this posting, the rates stated in the collective agreement shall prevail.Minimum Qualifications:

Graduate degree in Economics with a focus in Environmental Economics. Preferred Qualifications:

Developing the syllabus, teaching one 3-hour lecture per week at the graduate level, providing weekly office hours for academic counseling of students, preparing and delivering course material; preparing and delivering assignments and tests; marking student work and submitting grades.
