Territory Sales Manager– Retail

What You’ll Be Doing As Territory Sales Manager, you will be the face and force behind the company’s retail success in your territory. Your days will combine strategic planning, relationship building, and hands‑on execution.

Key responsibilities include:

Achieve and exceed territory sales targets and performance KPIs

Build strong, trusted relationships with retail buyers and key decision‑makers

Develop and execute territory sales plans aligned with broader provincial strategy

Identify, pursue, and secure new retail business opportunities

Analyze sales performance and market trends to uncover growth opportunities

Manage territory budgets, expenses, and promotional investments effectively

Maintain an organized and efficient route schedule to maximize account coverage

Coordinate and support retail promotions, tastings, and in‑store activations

Host supplier visits and represent the portfolio at industry and customer events

Serve as a passionate brand ambassador, elevating visibility and market presence

Requirements

Requirements:

1 to 3+ years of experience in beverage alcohol sales, preferably within retail

Strong knowledge of wine and the Ontario retail landscape

Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets

Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills

Strong organizational and territory management abilities

Analytical mindset with proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel

WSET Level 2 or higher preferred, or equivalent wine certification

Post‑secondary education in business, sales, hospitality, or related field is an asset

Valid Smart Serve certification

Valid Ontario driver’s license and access to a reliable, insured vehicle

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and support in‑store merchandising activities

Flexibility to attend occasional evening and weekend events

Compensation&Benefits

Base Salary:

$45,000– $55,000 CAD per year

Commission:

Performance‑based commission structure

Car Allowance:

$600 per month

Phone Allowance:

$115 per month

Benefits: Comprehensive benefits package after 3 months

Vacation:

3 weeks annual leave + 5 paid sick days
