Sessional Lecturer– Early Modern Britain (HIS368H1-F)

Introduction to the political, social and religious history of early modern England, Scotland and Ireland. Particular attention will be paid to the history of the monarchy, the Protestant Reformation, gender issues and relations between different parts of the British Isles. Minimum Qualifications

Master of Arts in History or related field Mastery of the subject area as related to the course description above Preferred Qualifications

PhD in History preferred Demonstrated evidence of superior undergraduate teaching Previous experience teaching a similar course is highly desirable Description of Duties

Developing syllabus; course preparation Teaching two‑hour classes weekly, in‑person lectures Marking Conducting scheduled office hours (1 hour per week) Duties shall be performed at the campus on which the position is located Sessional dates of appointment: September 1 to December 31, 2026Estimated course enrolment: 45 students Estimate of TA support: NA Schedule: Mondays 15:00‑17:00 In‑person lectures Pay Rates
