Midtown Pediatrics is looking for a Medical Administrator/Receptionist to be part of their team. About Our Clinic
Midtown Pediatrics is a busy outpatient multi-disciplinary pediatric health care clinic located in midtown Toronto. The team includes Pediatricians, Pediatric subspecialists, Nurses and allied health practitioners. Responsibilities
Greeting and registering patients Answering phones, taking telephone messages, managing email Scheduling- managing patient appointments and health care providers schedule Answering questions and providing information directly to patients via email and telephone based on knowledge of policies, procedures and regulationsScanning and transferring documents and e-faxes in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system (Practice Solutions/Telus) Sorting and forwarding mail and other correspondence Following up on specialist referrals Contacting patients to inform of specialist appointments Invoicing patients for non-OHIP servicesMaintaining cleanliness of clinic Helping with patient care eg, weighing patients Provides coverage for other admin staff during scheduled and unscheduled absences due to vacation, illness, etc. Other administrative tasks as required Qualifications
Minimum 2-3 years as a Medical Office Admin or Medical Office Receptionist At least one year experience using EMR systems such as Practice Solutions (preferred), or proficiency in another EMR system Knowledge of Medical Terminology Excellent customer service skills, able to offer a higher level of service in a professional mannerDiligent and hard worker Able to multitask in an organized and productive manner Detail-oriented: we love candidates who have an eye for detail Excellent interpersonal skills Excellent organizational skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent computer skills ie, comfortable using technologySalary and Location
Salary: From $20.00 per hour (based on experience) Location: In person
