Salary will be determined by experience, skills, qualifications, anticipated contribution to the role, internal equity, etc. The range presented above is based on a 35‑hour workweek and would represent a majority of different candidate profiles. About the role Reporting to the Manager in a high‑impact Banking Operations team, you’ll support critical bank partnerships, strengthen our control environment, and help modernize how we work. As a Specialist, you’ll be a hands‑on partner across the business, external bank partners, drive automation, and optimize products, services and controls that save time and improve accuracy.
Responsibilities
Lead and support operations across projects, compliance, KPI analysis, documentation and reconciliation to deliver timely, accurate and scalable processes
Collaborate with internal and external partners on bank account management, merchant services, and various product and service management as part of regular maintenance and projects
Prepare the annual bank service fee budget– analyze monthly variance drivers and recommend cost optimization strategies
Identify process gaps and recommend improvements with a focus on automation and innovation
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support departmental goals and finance transformation initiatives
Support the Manager to maintain a robust internal control environment; ensure processes and controls are well designed, documented with control evidence
Prepare clear, audit‑ready analyses and communicate work performed to internal and external auditors
Lead and deliver assigned initiatives and/or ad hoc requests end‑to‑end by defining the approach, coordinating with stakeholders and managing timelines through completion
Handle ad hoc requests with urgency and ownership
Qualifications
CPA or CTP
– required
Minimum 3‑years experience
within Operational Banking or Finance&Accounting– required
Solid understanding of commercial banking products, payment methods, and best practice fraud prevention
Advanced Microsoft Office (Excel, Power BI)
Strong communication skills—clear, concise writing and confident verbal communication
Continuous‑improvement mindset with a track record of identifying automation opportunities, implementing solutions, and identifying process improvements
Systems: Working knowledge of Oracle ERP Cloud (or similar ERP)
Excellent analytical skills and a systematic approach to problem‑solving; proactive curiosity to understand business operations end‑to‑end
Meticulous attention to detail with a passion for accuracy, compliance, and well‑documented work
Collaborative interpersonal style; able to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels, including management and external partners
Industry familiarity: Knowledge of the P&C insurance sector is a strong asset
