The City of Toronto is seeking a full-time Welder to join its Fleet Services Division. In this multifaceted role, you will engage in skilled welding tasks and work with various materials while ensuring compliance with safety standards. Your expertise will help enhance the City’s Green Fleet Plan, making it integral to its operations.

Key Responsibilities:• Conduct skilled welding and maintenance fabrication • Use oxy-acetylene and plasma-arc cutting techniques • Provide effective training and work direction to others • Prepare reports and detailed documentation of tasks • Drive to different locations as requested

Requirements:• Valid Welder Certificate as per Ontario standards • Class ‘G’ Driver’s License required • Proven experience with hazardous equipment • Comfort with creating and interpreting technical sketches • Physical ability to perform in all weather
