This position provides the senior technical role for architecture and design of detailed hardware, software, network and security solutions for the widest-range of TIG’s technology solutions product and service offerings. This position requires an in-depth understanding and technical capability of complex systems and detailed understanding of business objectives, business units, operational process flow and business-impact initiatives and objectives for any given relationship with TIG. The Solutions Architect is a mentor and third-tier technical resource among varying disciplines, focusing primarily on interaction between multiple product sets and complex certifiable documentation as it relates to business objectives. The Solutions Architect may coordinate TIG technical resources to facilitate a deliverable project or initiative to multiple independent clients over the broadest range of technical disciplines. These disciplines include but are not limited to performance and capacity planning of enterprise server, storage, and communications architecture / design, information security design and assessment, policy creation and operating system(s) software maintenance and configuration, network architecture and deployment, security solutions creation and validation, and datacenter evaluation planning, budgeting, and rollout. The Solutions Architect will serve as a focal point to create fee-based consulting deliverables including the associated support infrastructure and processes to ensure the success of TIG’s Skilled Services projects.Duties and Responsibilities

Provide pre-sales support in network and storage environments, including server and system support, planning and assessment Produce fee-based deliverables as a result of thorough evaluation and documentation client’s IT infrastructure, including network maps, hardware/software configurations, and IT processesMaintain and increase technical certifications based upon certification requirement changes and business market requirements Provide implementation services as deemed necessary Maintain strategic relationships with Manufacturers, i.e. Cisco, IBM, VMWare, EMC Sun and others Product recommendation: May be required to properly evaluate customer requirements in order to recommend specific products to meet or exceed customer business objectivesEnsure proper documentation and change control processes are in place and enforced Enable Professional Services teams by providing additional knowledge transfer and technical expertise as needed Desired Skills And Abilities

Excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication experience Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities Proven track record in management of a 24/7 production environment In depth knowledge of hardware, software, protocols and business processes Expertise in all internet protocols Hands-on expertise and network/systems management toolsMust possess valid driver’s license and proof of insurance Experience

Minimum 15 years experience in IT technology Minimum 15 years experience WAN technology and/or enterprise server / storage technology Knowledge Training And Certifications

Formal Education: 4 year College degree in a business-related field Valid driver’s license (if applicable to position)
