We are seeking a talented and versatile Motion Designer to join our retail client's creative team and help elevate visual storytelling across multiple digital platforms. The ideal candidate is a standout designer who seamlessly blends motion graphics expertise with traditional graphic design skills. You should be comfortable creating high-energy content for TikTok and Instagram, as well as banner ads, and website content.This is a contract that will run through to the end of 2026, and is based in Toronto. Our client would love for the designer to join their team onsite at their office 1-2 days per week. Responsibilities

Develop accurate electronic layouts for emails, catalogues, flyers, booklets, and other digital/print projects. Attend pick-up meetings to gather information, resolve discrepancies, and ensure all marketing objectives are fully understood and met. Search electronic archives for useful art, provide printed references to Producers, and produce finished art for new graphic elements, headings, and slugs (English and French).Ensure layouts translate effectively across photography, copy, and overall creative guidelines; provide layout tissue revisions following reviews. Evaluate the reusability of existing photography versus the need for new shoots and produce high-quality mock-ups and creative presentations. Requirements

Diploma in Graphic Design (or related field) with a minimum of 4 years of professional graphic design experience. High proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects). Proven experience creating motion graphics for social platforms including TikTok, Instagram, and Meta.Strong understanding of type formatting, color sense, and the principles of retail, email, and promotional advertising. Previous working experience in Adobe Workfront is a huge bonus. Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to maintain a calm demeanor in a fast-paced, demanding workplace.Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work cooperatively within a team and communicate complex creative ideas clearly. A willingness to go beyond expectations by finding novel solutions and building flexibility into every project.
