Senior Accountant– Commercial Loans (12-Month Contract)

Our client, a large multinational financial institution, is looking to add a Senior Accountant– Commercial Loans to their finance team on an initial 12-month contract basis, with strong potential for extension or permanent conversion. Hybrid role – 3 days/week in office Key Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day and month-end accounting activities related to commercial loans and loan loss provisioning Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules Support audit requests and financial reporting processes Ensure compliance with IFRS 9 requirements and internal controlsPartner with cross-functional finance and business teams on analysis and reporting initiatives Qualifications

CPA/CA designation completed or currently in progress 4+ years of full-cycle accounting experience Hands‑on experience with commercial loans and/or loan loss provisioning preferred Strong understanding of IFRS 9 Strong systems, reconciliation, and analytical skills Experience within Financial Services, Banking, Insurance, or Asset Management is considered a strong asset
