Senior SAP BODS Developer (Toronto)

Overview

The SAP BODS Developer supports Client’s data integration and analytics landscape by designing, developing, and maintaining ETL solutions that move data from SAP and non‑SAP systems into enterprise data warehouses and reporting platforms. The role focuses on data accuracy, performance, regulatory compliance, and operational reliability within a utility environment.Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain SAP BODS ETL jobs to extract, transform, and load data from SAP ECC/S/4HANA (IS‑U, FI, CO, PM) metering, billing, customer information systems (CIS). Optimize BODS jobs for performance, scalability, and reliability in batch and near‑real‑time processing. Implement data validation, reconciliation, and quality checks to meet regulatory and audit requirements.Support data integration for regulatory reporting (Ontario Energy Board / compliance reporting), finance, asset management, and customer analytics; business analysts and data architects; SAP functional teams; reporting and BI teams (BW, Power BI, SAP BO). Engage in SDLC activities (design, development, testing, deployment).Provide production support, incident resolution, and performance tuning. Maintain technical documentation, job schedules, mappings, and run books. Technical Skills&Experience

Robust hands‑on experience with SAP BusinessObjects Data Services (BODS). Solid understanding of ETL architecture and data warehousing concepts; SAP source systems (ECC/S4HANA, IS‑U preferred). SQL (Oracle, SQL Server, HANA). Data profiling, cleansing, and transformations. Control‑M, Autosys, or equivalent job schedulers.Unix/Linux environments. Version control and migration practices. Familiarity with utility‑industry data such as meter reads&consumption data; asset and pipeline information (preferred). Detail‑oriented with a focus on data accuracy and consistency.
