Description
Location: Leslieville, Toronto, Ontario Compensation: Hourly ($40.00-$70.00 per hour) Reports To: General Manager Required Availability: Wednesday 6pm and/or Friday 12:15pm Role Overview

We are seeking an energetic and creative Group Fitness Instructor to lead one or more of strength, HIIT, weightlifting, and mobility classes. You will design and deliver safe, engaging classes that cater to a wide range of fitness levels and help build VIMALIFE’s thriving community. The ideal candidate will be passionate about movement, have a strong understanding of exercise science, and be able to motivate members to achieve their goals.Key Responsibilities

Design&lead classes across multiple modalities. Group fitness instructors organize and lead group exercise classes- these may include cardiovascular programs, strength training or stretching, and may involve creating routines and selecting appropriate music. Demonstrate proper technique&monitor participants. Fitness instructors demonstrate or explain how to perform exercises to minimize injuries, watch participants to ensure correct form, provide modifications to help participants feel successful, and adjust programs based on participants’ progress. Maintain a safe, welcoming environment. Enforce safety rules and proper equipment. Help ensure that studio spaces and equipment are clean and organized.Foster community&motivate members. Lead and motivate individuals and groups in exercise activities. Maintain excellent communication and customer‑service skills. Create a positive atmosphere, encourage members of all levels, and align classes with the community‑driven ethos. Collaborate&promote. Group instructors may promote their offerings through social media, newsletters or flyers. Collaborate with personal trainers, participate in events and workshops, and represent the club in community and outreach events. Qualifications

Current group fitness or personal trainer certification from a recognized organization (e.g., ACE, NASM, ACSM, ISSA, CanFit). Specialty certification and/or demonstrated expertise in at least two of the modalities offered. Current CPR/AED and first‑aid certification. Minimum 1–2 years of experience teaching group fitness classes. Experience in choreographing routines and adjusting programs to participants’ needs is essential.Working knowledge of exercise physiology, kinesiology and injury prevention. Excellent communication, listening and motivational skills, and the physical ability to lead high‑energy classes. Availability to teach on Wednesday at 6pm and Friday at 12:15pm, with the ability to take on more classes as needed. Ability to stand and demonstrate exercises for extended periods.Benefits
