This role is highly specialized and forward‑looking, focused on exploring emerging technologies, validating new architectural patterns, and building early‑stage prototypes that shape future platform direction. Operating outside traditional delivery constraints, you will dedicate your time to identifying emerging technologies, validatingnew architectural patterns, and building early‑stage prototypes that influence long‑term technical strategy.The work sits at the intersection of cloud architecture, AI systems, and modern software engineering innovation, directly influencing long‑term technical strategy by helping leadership understand what technologies to adopt and scale. Your dedicated innovation scouting will turn curiosity into structured technical insight in a workplace that is autonomous, research‑driven, and designed for deep technical thinking, hands‑on experimentation, and continuous learning.Accountabilities
Act as a dedicated technology scout, continuously researching and evaluating emerging software technologies, cloud platforms, AI systems, and modern architectural paradigms to identify emerging opportunities. Design and build proof‑of‑concepts and experimental prototypes to validate ideas, reduce uncertainty, and assess technical feasibility.Perform hands‑on experimentation by writing exploratory code, building isolated systems, and testing new development frameworks and tools. Develop and document experimental architectures, clearly explaining use cases, limitations, and potential integration into broader ecosystems, and conduct technical feasibility studies using rapid iteration and fail‑fast experimentation approaches.Produce concise technical briefings and insights to support architectural and strategic decision‑making, and collaborate selectively with architecture and engineering leaders to transition validated concepts toward potential adoption. Requirements
University degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience. 10+ years of experience in software development and/or solution architecture roles. Strong background in designing and experimenting with up‑to‑date, cloud‑native, and distributed systems architectures. Proven experience evaluating and experimenting with emerging technologies beyond production‑ready solutions.Advanced hands‑on coding skills with the ability to independently build prototypes from scratch. Strong understanding of cloud platforms, modern software architectures, and distributed computing principles. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to senior technical stakeholders.High intellectual curiosity with a demonstrated ability to independently explore new technologies such as AI agents, orchestration tools, and new frameworks. Comfortable working autonomously with minimal direction and engaging in deep technical research. English proficiency required; French is considered an asset.Benefits
