Whitehorse, Yukon (In person role, Must Relocate) Building Materials | Truss Design | MiTek Software $65-75k Base + Relocation Support + Benefits Our client, a well‑established and highly regarded player within the building materials sector, is looking to add a Truss Designer to their Whitehorse, Yukon operation.Supporting residential and light commercial construction across the Yukon region, this role plays a key part in delivering accurate, efficient truss designs while collaborating closely with sales, production, and customer teams. This is not just a drafting role—it's about understanding structural requirements, optimizing designs, and contributing to a smooth end‑to‑end process from concept through to manufacturing and installation.What You’ll Own

Designing roof and floor truss systems using MiTek software, ensuring all layouts meet engineering standards, building codes, and customer specifications. Working closely with internal sales teams, project managers, and customers to interpret drawings, provide design solutions, and support project timelines.Reviewing architectural plans, optimizing material usage, maintaining design accuracy, and supporting production with clear and detailed outputs. Problem‑solving on active projects, making adjustments as needed and ensuring a high level of service and responsiveness. What They’re Really Looking For

Detail‑oriented, technically capable individual with experience in truss design and strong working knowledge of MiTek software.
