Maintenance Technician (Picton)

Hands on position doing maintenance tasks at a 49 room, 2 restaurants Country Inn Complex. Education: X:High School X:College preferred Notes: Carpentry Skills, Basic Plumbing and Electrical, House painting, Dry walling, Use of Power tools. : Experience required: 1. Able to work harmoniously and respectfully with the other employees of Maintenance Department (usually 2 or 3 others) and treat customers with an hospitable attitude showing a willingness to fulfill customer needs in a timely, pleasant manner. - Ability to problem solve in a calm and positive manner - Ability to prioritize jobs required to maintain the property in excellent condition, both visually and functionally and meet the standards set for property maintenance by the owners - Must have self-starter ability, be able to identify and, again, prioritize jobs required - Carpentry, plumbing and electrical skills, painting and dry walling as needed to make small repairs and, on occasion, take on more complex property renovations. The owners are cognizant that no one has all finishing skills and they have a network of professional trades people to assist in more complex jobs. - Willingness to assist in performing some of the more mundane jobs along with the other maintenance staff eg :cleaning carpets, snow removal from doorways and walkways, sweeping, yard maintenance, moving and repairing furniture, cleaning grease traps, maintaining hot tubs and other small jobs to maintain attractive rooms like replacing bathroom towel holders, etc. - Willingness to be part of a weekend and night on call schedule - Ability to work harmoniously with the 2 innkeepers and other inn employees as a whole—and such off site trades people as required - Honesty and integrity are required.
