Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years or equivalent experience Tasks Assist manager in the implementation of safety programs Evaluate safety programs Examine plans, drawings and site layouts Plan safety programs Ensure compliance to drawings, specifications and building codes Ensure electrical and plumbing installations meet government regulation Enforce steel and concrete installation codes Inspect construction of sewer systems and pipelines Inspect to ensure that secure working conditions are maintained Inspect existing buildings for structural defects and fire hazards Inspect and provide reports on condition of new or resale homes Screening questions Are you authorized to work in Canada?
