POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Managed by Cogir Real Estate, the mission of Résidence Les Richeloises is to provide seniors with a supportive living environment in a safe and welcoming setting, where our wonderful team makes all the difference for our residents. Located on the banks of the Richelieu River, the residence is warm and welcoming and is pleased to host both independent and semi-independent residents. Here, we offer delicious, complete meals at affordable prices, free parking, a social club, ongoing training, not to mention free coffee and smiles!

We are currently seeking a Sous-Chef for a temporary, full-time position (sick leave replacement with an indefinite term). The position is 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, between 6:30 a.m. and 7:00 p.m., and one weekend out of two as needed.

Come create with our Chef and experiment with flavors, textures, and presentations!

ROLE AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assisting the head chef in his tasks

Replace the head chef as needed

Food Services

Assemble plates of food

Clean kitchen equipment

Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure good teamwork

Create tasty menus while respecting the expected level of quality and the allocated budget

Ensure and optimize quality standards in the use of food

Perform meal preparation while supervising and mobilizing staff in the kitchen

Plan and cook meals in accordance with the appropriate methods and standards

Use products and equipment according to the safety, quality, hygiene and cleanliness rules and standards in effect

When appropriate, collaborate with the chef in the creation of the menus by proposing ideas

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Training certification (MAPAQ)

A proffesional studies dimploma (DEP) in institutional cuisine or equivelent

At lease 3 to 5 years of experience in a large restoration's volume

Basic computer skills

Good team player

Good communication
