Signals and Communication Design Engineer (Montréal-Est)

Take charge of signal design at a railway as an Officer of Signals and Communication, focusing on circuit design for CTC and safety compliance. This position involves both design and field support to ensure system functionality. As an Officer, you will manage projects involving signal circuits and coordinate with various stakeholders to meet S&C; standards. You'll support installation and maintenance of railway crossing systems and be the frontline engineer handling budgets and timelines. Effective communication and project oversight are vital in ensuring designs meet regulatory standards and project requirements. Key Responsibilities: • Lead signal design projects and manage budgets • Develop and monitor design concepts effectively • Coordinate work order requests with wiring vendors • Ensure conversion of approved work orders to Purchase Orders • Provide technical support for installation and maintenance Requirements: • Minimum 1 year in electrical discipline • 1-3 years in signal circuit design or testing • Proficiency in CAD software and Microsoft Project • Associate or Bachelor’s in Engineering fields • Bilingual in English and French preferred Excel in engineering communication, project management, and signal design effectiveness in this agile railway role.
