Overview
The Warehouse Associate is responsible for receiving, processing, organizing, and storing inventory in the warehouse. This role involves picking and packing orders, maintaining accurate inventory records, and ensuring a safe, clean, and efficient work environment. The candidate must be capable of standing and walking for extended periods and frequently lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds, as well as bend, stoop, kneel, and reach throughout the shift. Physical stamina is essential in a fast-paced workday.Core Responsibilities
Pick and pack orders in an accurate and efficient manner Strong attention to detail and accuracy Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks when required Coordinate activities surrounding the warehouse operations Unpack, inspect, sort and store stock in appropriate locationsEnsure pallets and shelving units are in good working condition Organize stock and maintain inventories Maintain safety compliance when operating material handling equipment Report unsafe work conditions as they occur Maintain a clean and safe working environment Follow company policies and OSHA safety regulationsPerform other duties as assigned Key Competencies
Ability to lift 50 lbs Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods Comfortable performing repetitive tasks Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Reliable attendance and strong work ethic Ability to operate material handling equipment Qualifications
Minimum 1 year of recent distribution or warehouse experience High School Diploma or equivalent Comfortable working at heights when using machinery, if required Excellent attendance and punctuality Experience using RF scanner or manual picking preferred but not required Forklift certification or experience with specific equipment is a strong assetExcellent work ethic and a positive attitude Ability to work as part of a team with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment Strong communication skills both oral and written SAP background preferred but not required Intermediate knowledge of computer applications About Medline Canada
