Machine Operator - Night and Afternoon Shifts Full Time - Guelph, ON, Canada
Salary: $22.00/hr (includes $0.75/hr afternoon shift premium and $1.50/hr night shift premium)
Shift Hours: Afternoon shift: 02:50 PM to 11:00 PM, Night shift: 10:50 PM to 07:00 AM; Monday to Friday, 8 hrs per day.
Job Overview We are hiring Machine Operators for our production team at TIGER Drylac, a professionally managed, family‑owned business with over 80 years of experience in the powder coating industry.
Responsibilities
Set up equipment using computer‑controlled machinery.
Clean containers, mixing areas, mixers, and filling stations for production batches.
Dispose of cabin powder and maintain general housekeeping of work area.
Prepare batches by weighing and adding ingredients according to mix sheets.
Use source identification numbers and product descriptions to ensure proper materials and correct batch corrections.
Operate tow motor, lift truck, and forklift as required.
Interpret and operate scales for batch weighing.
Supporting Work Practices
Liaise with material controller regarding availability of raw materials.
Organize and replenish raw material supplies in the weigh station area (e.g., pigments, resins).
Store newly received raw materials in the warehouse.
Qualifications
Aptitude for working with factory machinery.
Experience in extrusion, milling, or mixing preferred.
Understanding of maintenance, safety, and quality principles is an asset.
Ability to operate a forklift is an asset.
