Elevate Indigenous student enrollment at the University of Guelph as an Indigenous Student Recruitment Officer. Lead outreach and engagement initiatives to foster community connections and support diverse applicants.
In this vital role, the Indigenous Student Recruitment Officer will focus on recruitment strategies for First Nations, Inuit, and Métis students. Reporting to the Assistant Registrar, you will develop culturally relevant presentations and enhance community collaboration. Your efforts will directly contribute to increasing Indigenous student applications and enrollments at the University.
Key Responsibilities:• Develop recruitment initiatives targeting Indigenous communities • Build relationships with First Nations and Indigenous organizations • Represent the University at Indigenous recruitment events • Deliver presentations to prospective students and supporters • Collaborate with Indigenous Student Centre for aligned strategies
Requirements:• Undergraduate degree required • Approximately 2 years' experience in recruitment or community engagement • Proven ability to build relationships with Indigenous partners • Strong communication skills with diverse audiences • Valid G Class Ontario Driver’s License required
