Tooling Engineer for Manufacturing Facility, Courtice

A leading manufacturer in the KWC region seeks a Tooling Engineer to enhance productivity and quality in their Press Shop. This role involves utilizing CAD software and managing tooling processes.

The Tooling Engineer position at our Tier 1&Tier 2 manufacturing facility focuses on developing concept layouts and driving technical improvements. Candidates will employ skills in SOLID EDGE and Geometric Dimensioning&Tolerancing to support manufacturing processes. You will oversee the integration of new stamping dies, contributing to safety and continuous improvement initiatives throughout the Press Shop.

Key Responsibilities:• Develop concept layouts using CAD software systems • Drive technical improvements and process advancements • Champion continuous improvement activities in productivity and quality • Collaborate on packaging solutions for Press Shop operations • Oversee successful launch of new stamping dies and tooling

Requirements:• Ontario College Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Design • In-depth knowledge of progressive and transfer tool design • Solid experience in 3D CAD systems like SOLID EDGE • Working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning&Tolerancing• Knowledge of In-Die Insertion is advantageous
