Guelph Wastewater Collection Operator Role, Courtice

Become a Wastewater Collection Operator with the City of Guelph. This temporary full-time role focuses on hands-on wastewater system operations in-person, requiring knowledge and applicable licenses.

As part of the Environmental Services Department, you'll report to the Wastewater Collection Supervisor. Your expertise in wastewater collection systems and strong troubleshooting skills will be vital to ensure proper operation and maintenance. You’ll work with SCADA systems and perform inspections, contributing to the city's commitment to infrastructure excellence.

Key Responsibilities:• Operate and maintain Wastewater Collection Facility • Respond to service calls and troubleshoot issues • Monitor compliance with environmental regulations • Maintain records for equipment and operations • Perform confine space entries for inspection

Requirements:• Grade 12 Diploma with 1-2 years relevant experience • Valid Wastewater Collection OIT license required • Class DZ drivers license preferred • Strong communication and teamwork skills • Physical capability for manual labor in various conditions
