Employment Status: Casual Department: Rehab Job Code: 24504 Benefit: Pension The PT/OT Assistant works under the supervision and direction of the Manager, Professional Practice. The PT/OT Assistant is responsible for implementing the components of the designated treatment programs and for facilitating patients in reaching optimal potential function. The PT/OT Assistant provides input to the therapist’s assessment and plan of care for the patient where appropriate, and clarifies the plan of care with the therapist. The PT/OT Assistant provides high‑quality, safe, effective and evidence‑based care in partnership with patients and families, in accordance with the professional practice standards and GGH’s mission, vision, values and policies.Benefits

College certified physiotherapy and occupational therapy assistant Six months recent physio/OT assistant experience Current BCLS Experience in an acute care setting is an asset Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Demonstrated organizational skills Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a self‑directed manner as well as collaboratively within a team in a fast‑paced and ever‑changing environmentDemonstrated commitment to excellent customer service when interacting with patients, families, colleagues and physicians Guelph General Hospital is committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace.
