One of our client in KWC region is looking for a Tooling Engineer for their Tier 1&Tier 2 manufacturing facility. Pay– $80K Responsibilities
Capable of developing concept layouts and progressive stage plans from part drawings utilizing CAD software systems. Drive and assist with technical improvements and process advancements within the Press Shop. Champion and contribute to continuous improvement activities focused on productivity, quality, and efficiency in the Press Shop.Collaborate with the Logistics team to define and implement suitable packaging solutions for Press Shop operations. Oversee and support the successful launch and integration of new stamping dies and tooling into production. Adhere to all procedures, standards, and guidelines outlined in the applicable Work Area Reference Manuals.Execute departmental tasks in accordance with the processes and instructions established within the Process House documentation. Maintain all work activities in compliance with established 5S workplace organization standards. Lead and support safety, ergonomic and risk-reduction initiatives throughout the Press Shop environment.Demonstrate a strong commitment to workplace safety by adhering to all company safety policies, procedures and PPE requirements applicable to designated work areas. Maintain a safe and organized work workplace for both self and fellow employees by identifying and promptly reporting unsafe conditions, hazardous practices or work-related incidents to the appropriate Supervisor or Manager.Qualifications
Ontario College Diploma or Degree in Engineering with a focus in Mechanical Design. Must also have in depth knowledge and experience in progressive and transfer tool design. Must have good knowledge of solids based 3D CAD design system, using SOLID EDGE and or Unigraphics. Working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning&Tolerancing is required. Experience or knowledge regarding In-Die Insertion is a strong asset.
