**Full Job Description** Position Overview The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for designing custom equipment, preparing detailed drawings, and supporting the manufacturing process from concept to completion. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a hands‑on engineering environment and enjoys working on unique, project‑based designs. Key Responsibilities Develop mechanical designs for custom material handling equipment and below‑the‑hook attachments. Produce accurate assembly drawings, shop drawings, and bill of materials. Create 2D and 3D models using AutoCAD (2D) and SolidWorks (3D). Prepare equipment manuals and technical documentation using Microsoft Word. Collaborate with manufacturing, project management, and quality teams to ensure successful project execution. Support design reviews, engineering calculations, and continuous improvement initiatives. Provide technical input during fabrication and assembly as needed. **Required Qualifications** Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical design. Strong proficiency in AutoCAD 2D Must have a CSWP (Certified SolidWorks Professional) certificate or CSWPA (Certified SolidWorks Professional Advanced Specialist) Demonstrated experience designing material handling equipment and/or below‑the‑hook lifting devices. Ability to produce high‑quality assembly and shop drawings. Due to client communication needs, this role requires fluency in French or Spanish. This position requires effective verbal and written English communication. Candidates may be asked to provide a valid CELPIP General or IELTS General score report. Strong written communication skills for preparing equipment manuals and documentation. Eligible to work in Canada and able to commute to work. **Preferred Qualifications (Assets)** Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Knowledge of applicable industry standards (e.g., ASME, CSA). Hands‑on exposure to fabrication or manufacturing environments. What We Offer Competitive compensation package.
