About the Opportunity Strategic Leadership&Business Partnership
Serve as a trusted advisor to the President and EVP on financial strategy, performance, and long-term value creation.
Contribute meaningfully to the company’s 3–5 year strategic plan, including growth initiatives, capital investments, and risk management.
Provide clear, actionable financial insight to support strategic and operational decisions (e.g., pricing, capacity planning, product mix, and capital projects).
Act as a visible, values-aligned leader who reinforces company’s culture
Financial Management&Reporting
Lead all core financial activities, including:
Monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting
Budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning
Cash flow management and working capital optimization
Tax and treasury activities (in partnership with external)
Ensure timely, accurate, and insightful reporting to the leadership team, ownership group, and lenders.
Translate financial results into clear narratives that highlight performance drivers, trends, and opportunities.
Governance, Controls&Risk Management
Evaluate existing financial controls and governance practices and continue to evolve them in a practical, business-aligned manner.
Strengthen consistency and discipline across operations, including inventory, purchasing, and spend management.
Oversee audit processes and maintain strong relationships with external auditors and advisors.
Proactively identify and manage financial and operational risks in partnership with leadership.
Performance Management&Cost Visibility
Enhance cost and margin visibility across plants, products, and customers.
Establish disciplined variance analysis and performance review routines with operational leaders.
Partner with plant and functional leaders to support productivity, efficiency, and profitability improvements.
Help shift finance from traditional reporting toward deeper insight, forward‑looking analysis, and decision support.
US Operations Financial Partnership
Provide financial leadership and oversight for company’s US operations.
Support local leadership with clear financial reporting, KPIs, and performance tracking.
Ensure appropriate financial processes and controls are in place across geographies.
Assess resourcing needs over time to support the evolving needs of the business.
Systems, Data&Process Improvement
Assess the current finance and operational systems landscape (including Microsoft Dynamics NAV, EPICS, and Salesforce) and develop a practical, multi‑year roadmap to enhance systems functionality.
Partner closely with IT to improve system integration, reporting capabilities, and data quality.
Streamline finance and operational processes to improve efficiency, scalability, and usability.
Champion data consistency and accessibility to support better decision‑making across the organization.
Team Leadership&Development
Lead, mentor, and develop the Controller and broader finance team.
Clarify roles and responsibilities within finance to support scalability and effectiveness.
Build depth and succession within the team by developing high‑potential talent.
Foster a collaborative, accountable finance culture aligned with company’s values.
About You
10+ years of progressive finance experience, including senior leadership roles (CFO, VP Finance, or equivalent).
Manufacturing experience strongly preferred; multi‑plant and cost accounting exposure is an asset.
Demonstrated success in:
Leading finance in mid‑sized, growing organizations ($100M–$300M+ revenue)
Improving systems, reporting, and controls pragmatically
Partnering closely with operations to drive performance and profitability
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics (NAV/Business Central) or similar ERP platforms.
Exposure to lender relationships, bank reporting, and ownership or Board interaction. \ Experience in family‑owned, founder‑led, or post‑transaction environments is an asset.
CPA designation (or equivalent) required.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
Strategic yet hands‑on; comfortable operating at both enterprise and operational levels.
Salary Range $250,000 - $300,000 / year
