Description
Compensation: - Hourly Rate: $44 to 46 / hour (plus shift premiums) - Vacation: 3 weeks - Company Group Perks - RRSP Matching up to 4.5% In office / Hybrid / Remote: - 100% In-Office Schedule: - Rotating three-shift schedule (2-week rotations): - Days: 7:00 AM – 3:15 PM - Afternoons: 3:00 PM – 11:15 PM - Midnights: 11:00 PM – 7:15 AM Role and Responsibilities: - Operational Planning: Develop and execute comprehensive production schedules to optimize material usage, labor allocation, and equipment uptime. - Technical Leadership: Provide high-level technical guidance to Set-Up and Packer Operators; investigate complex mechanical or process issues and implement sustainable solutions. - Quality & Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and internal quality management systems. Review and approve all job proofs and samples to guarantee alignment with client specifications. - Data Analysis & Reporting: Audit production data for accuracy and distribute performance insights within established timelines. Utilize key metrics to identify operational bottlenecks and recommend process improvements. - Team Development: Facilitate the training and professional development of team members regarding equipment operation, production techniques, and corporate safety policies. - Administrative Oversight: Manage and approve weekly labor hours within the ADP payroll system; ensure the facility remains in full compliance with corporate policies and government health and safety regulations. Qualifications: - Education: Post-secondary degree or diploma in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. - Experience: Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience within a manufacturing environment is preferred. - Technical Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with film and converting processes is an asset. - Influential Leadership: Adept at building relationships and persuading others to align with new proposals, plans, and safety initiatives. - Judgment & Decisiveness: Capacity to make rational, data-driven decisions based on a thorough consideration of all available alternatives. - Analytical Thinking: Ability to probe facts, consult stakeholders, and analyze issues to find root causes. - Organizational Abilities: Exceptional prioritization abilities with a proven track record of managing multiple deadlines in high-pressure, fast-paced settings. - Communication: Refined verbal and written communication skills for cross-departmental collaboration. - Customer Excellence: Commitment to maintaining high performance standards and ensuring all client-specific needs are met with precision.
