Description
Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Electrician to join our team, responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems across various projects. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in industrial and construction electrical work, with the ability to interpret blueprints and schematics. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects, including renovation and new installations, ensuring safety and compliance with all electrical codes and standards. Duties - Install electrical systems including wiring, conduits, panels, breakers, and devices in accordance with drawings and codes - Read and interpret electrical drawings, layouts, and specifications for both commercial and residential projects - Install lighting systems (LED fixtures, pot lights, exterior lighting, emergency lighting where required) - Install and connect outlets, switches, GFCI, dedicated circuits, and specialized equipment connections - Perform rough-ins and final installations for renovations, new builds, and tenant fit-outs - Troubleshoot electrical issues and carry out repairs efficiently on-site - Install and terminate electrical panels, transformers, and distribution systems - Ensure all work complies with applicable electrical codes, safety standards, and inspection requirements - Coordinate with project managers, site supervisors, and other trades (HVAC, plumbing, millwork, etc.) - Conduct testing and commissioning of electrical systems to ensure proper functionality - Support ESA or authority inspections and address any deficiencies - Out-of-province project support and travel flexibility - Maintain clean, organized, and protected work areas at all times - Document completed work and report progress or issues to the management team Requirements - Proven experience as an electrician, preferably with industrial electrician background - Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and electrical diagrams - Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment - Experience working with low voltage systems and programmable logic controllers (PLCs) - Hands-on experience in construction, renovation, or handyman tasks involving electrical systems - Ability to interpret technical schematics and wiring diagrams accurately - Knowledge of safety procedures related to electrical work and working at heights or in confined spaces - Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail - Valid electrician license or certification is preferred but not mandatory depending on project requirements This position offers a dynamic work environment where technical skills are valued and developed through diverse projects.
