Your New Role Reporting to the Corporate Controller, this newly created Senior Accountant position will play a key role within the Finance team, supporting fullcycle accounting and financial reporting across multiple operatingpanies. This is a handson role suited to an experienced accounting professional who can work independently, reviewplex transactions, and help maintain strong internal controls within a multipany, projectdriven environment. Key responsibilities include: Supporting monthend and yearend close, managing fullcycle accounting activities across multiple entities Preparing and reviewing journal entries, reconciliations, and financial adjustments in accordance with ASPE and GAAP Supporting yearend review and audit requirements Maintaining CAPEX and OPEX records, including fixed assets, capital and operating leases, and equipment costs Supporting inventory accounting, including adjustments and physical counts Performing intepany reconciliations related to loans, crosscharges, and invoicing Preparing and reconciling HST filings and supporting regulatory and audit requirements Monitoring project accounting, including budgets vs. actuals and variance investigation Reviewing project labour, subcontractor costs, and expenses to ensure accurate coding and reporting Supporting process improvements and strengthening internal controls Assisting with the financial oversight of projects throughout their lifecycle Providing guidance or review support to junior team members as required What Youll Need to Succeed Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field CPA designationpleted or in progress (strongly preferred) 58 years of progressive accounting experience, including prior experience in a Senior Accountant or similar role Robust handson experience with monthend close and financial reporting CAPEX and OPEX experience Background in project accounting and/or cost accounting Experience in construction, contracting, manufacturing, or similar projectbased industries is an asset Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, formulas) Experience working with ERP / accounting systems Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Strong analytical and problemsolving capabilities Effectivemunication skills when working with operational and project stakeholders Ability to manage confidential financial information with discretion What Youll Get in Return RRSP matching program 2 weeks vacation plus a Christmas shutdown period Standard hours of 9:00 am 5:00 pm, with flexibility to work 8:00 am 4:00 pm Fully inoffice role based in Brampton Strong emphasis on worklife balance Longterm development opportunities through exposure to multiple operatingpanies and capitalintensive, projectbased activities What You Need to Do Now If you meet all the requirements for this role, please apply quoting reference number: 1124573.
