People like you!Job DescriptionPosition Overview:Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the successful candidate will be responsible for running the Production line. This includes operating machinery, ensuring that raw materials are fed properly through the manufacturing process, resolving line stoppages, clearing equipment jams, verifying finished products against quality specifications, and ensuring that products are properly prepared for shipmentKey Responsibilities:Adhere to safety policies, programs, proceduresInspect raw material and finish products per quality specificationsConduct quality checks at regular intervalsOperate manufacturing equipment in accordance with standard work instruction.Operate counterbalance, propane-powered forkliftEnter waste, downtime data into system.General housekeeping dutiesAdditional duties as assignedQualifications:Minimum 2 years’ experience in industrial manufacturing or construction industry preferredComfortable with standing for extended periods of timeManual dexterityAttention to detailAbility to follow direction and specific instructionsGood communication skills; Fluent in English - Reading, Writing and SpeakingPhysical Requirements:Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds on a routine basisPPE including hard hat, safety footwear, safety glasses, hearing protection and gloves must be worn at all times in plant operations areaThis is a full time unionized permanent position.Benefits of Employment: IKO recognizes that its success is due to the strength of its employees.
