Line Cook/Prep Cook (Brampton)

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. Responsibilities - Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards - Assist in food preparation tasks such as chopping, slicing, and marinating ingredients - Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including workstations and equipment - Ensure proper food handling and storage practices to comply with health regulations - Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service - Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and communicate needs to management - Participate in menu planning and development as needed Requirements - Previous experience in a restaurant or kitchen environment is preferred - Robust skills in cooking, food preparation, and meal assembly - Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques - Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail - Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with staff - Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends - A passion for the culinary arts and a desire to learn and grow within the food industry Job Type: Full-time Pay: $18.00-$19.00 per hour Work Location: In person Apply on Kit Job: kitjob.ca/job/2ogufy
