Production Supervisor (Brampton)

Position Summary - Coordinate, supervise and schedule the activities of the production employee. - Establish methods to meet work schedules and co-ordinate work activities with other units. Experience - Minimum of three (3) year’s experience in a similar position in the food industry. - Excellent communication skills. - Demonstrated problem solving. - Leadership. - Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel). Responsibilities - Ensure production requirements are achieved while meeting quality, yield, efficiency and food/employee safety standards. - Effectively motivate and direct employees by facilitating/mentoring continuous improvement. - Review production schedule for manpower and staffing requirements. - Resolve work problems and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality. - Prepare production reports in an accurate and timely manner. - Perform / organize employee job training and team meetings to ensure efficient and safe task performance. - Understand and follow all aspects of the Collective Agreement, and deal with grievances at the primary stage. - Request and control materials and supplies.
