Job Function T DOT Automation Inc is hiring Intermediate PLC Programmers with prior experience in Studio5000/RsLogix 5000 and Siemens TIA Portal. Prior experience in GM Standard and Automotive Manufacturing is a plus. Programmer will be responsible for providing Controls Systems design, specification, programming, simulation, testing and start-up assistance. Location Brampron, ON. Travel is required to Oshawa, ON from time to time. Key Duties - Perform PLC Programming and design work for Automated Systems - Start-up, commissioning, installation, safety and run at rate projects. - Provide Controls and Automation troubleshooting, debugging and support for automation tasks at various client locations. - Make edits to machine software programs and logics. - Modify and create Human Machine Interface (HMI) screens. - Assist in machine wiring checkout process and perform intermediate machine debugging. - Participate in machine integration and debugging process at customer facilities. - Design and implement controls systems for various applications, ensuring optimal performance reliability. - Utilize VPN technologies to secure remote access to control systems. - Provide support on existing processes and implement change requirements as a part of a structured change control process. - Work within project timelines and constraints, while identifying risks and issues and communicating them to the management accordingly. - Uphold safe work practices and participate in developing and maintaining a culture of safety. - Submit required paperwork timely and accurately. - Understand and comply with customer standards. Requirements - Diploma or Degree in Electro-Mechanical Engineering (Robotics and Automation), or Electronics Engineering, or equivalent. - Knowledge of electrical designs and layout. - Minimum 3 years of PLC programming experience, specifically Allen Bradley and Siemens. - Knowledge of TIA Portal, HMI and SCADA programming. - Knowledge of logic and flow diagrams for program design, programming, simulation and testing, and start-up. - Prior experience in Automotive Manufacturing, Body in White, Integration, Controls System Development, Debugging, etc. is preferred. Working Setting - Travel between facilities and client locations. - Work flexible hours (day shift, afternoon shifts and night shifts) as per client requirements. Required Documentation - Valid passport, driver’s license and auto insurance. - Valid work permit is mandatory. - Diploma/Degree and Transcripts. - Clean background check. - Travel is required for this position within Canada.
